In the context of a contract for the construction of a significant primary substation, the following photos depict the activities carried out by qualified Giavent personnel for the construction of a specific type of foundation for the Control Building.
The purpose of this type of foundation is not only to transfer the loads from the elevated structure and the components to be installed within it to the ground, but it is also entrusted with an additional function.
Due to its design and ambitious nature, this foundation is also responsible for distributing incoming cables. A series of reinforced concrete tunnels and cable ducts, also cast in situ, articulate the space beneath the main floor slab. This intricate design allows for the precise channeling of energized cables from electromechanical equipment, safely guiding them to the medium voltage switchgear to which they will subsequently be connected.
