As part of a contract for the construction of a HV/MV substation, the following photos depict activities carried out by qualified Giavent personnel involved in building thefoundation to support the high-voltage overhead line terminal tower.

This type of gantry, commonly referred to in technical jargon as a “cat pole, palo gatto,” is a critical structure that serves to:

  1. Anchor the HV conductors upon arrival at the substation.
  2. Withstand very high tensile forces due to the weight and tension of the conductors, as well as external environmental loads.
  3. Maintain safety distances between the cables and between the cables and the ground, in accordance with CEI or international standards.
